Field Days: Optimizing and Use of Sprayers in the Vineyards
Tuesday, August 6, 2024 (2:00 PM - 5:00 PM) (PDT)
Description
Earn pesticide credits!
Spraying is one of the highest pre-harvest costs for a vineyard. Doing it poorly can lead to increased disease and insect pressure and even unusable fruit. Technologies exist to optimize coverage and increase data acquisition during spraying, but users must know how to use the tools.
Thanks to our partners at Washington State University, this field day event will teach proper calibration and optimization of sprayers and introduce BMP’s of technologies that include rate controllers, directed and/or over-the-row sprayers, intelligent sprayers, and adaptations to air blast sprayers that improve coverage.
Thank you to Washington State University for their guidance and participation in Winegrowers' educational programming.
Thank you to Gear Mapper for their Premier Educational Sponsorship of this event!
