This free, full-day training hosted by American Biochar Institute and American Farmland Trust is designed for agricultural professionals, farmers, and researchers interested in learning how to effectively incorporate biochar into farming practices but unsure where or how to start.

Participants will gain practical knowledge, proven tools, and peer connections to support biochar adoption.

Whether you advise farmers, manage land, shape sustainability programs, or develop agricultural policy, this event will help you confidently integrate biochar into agriculture and connect with a growing community of practice. 

• Gain practical insights from leading researchers, practitioners, biochar producers and agency partners
• Explore state-specific biochar initiatives, research updates, and regionally tailored resources presented by state leaders and regional experts.
• Understand cost-share programs and policy incentives (NRCS Practice 366)
• Build a community of practice to support biochar outreach and implementation
