DESCRIPTION:2026 Smoke Summit: Equipping Growers and Wineries with the Latest Research and Tools on Wildfire Smoke Free Virtual Webinar for the Wine Industry and All Interested Stakeholders | June 8\, 2026 The West Coast Smoke Exposure Task Force (WCSETF) will host its annual Smoke Summit on Monday\, June 8\, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (PT). The summit will bring together leading researchers and industry experts to share the latest progress on wildfire smoke exposure and how that research is being applied in real-world vineyard and winery decisions\, including practical guidance on interpreting lab results\, understanding key smoke markers\, and using that information to inform timely decisions. Speakers from across the West Coast will present updates on current studies and emerging developments\, including Cole Cerrato\, Oregon State University\; Tom Collins\, Washington State University\; Kristine Fox\, Relation Insurance\; Arran Rumbaugh\, USDA Agricultural Research Service\; and Elizabeth Tomasino\, Oregon State University. Attendees will also hear updates from the WCSETF\, a collaborative effort of wine and grape organizations and industry partners working together across the West Coast to advance research\, share resources\, and support the industry. "The Smoke Summit is an important opportunity for growers and wineries to learn about the progress being made in smoke exposure research\, and\, more importantly\, how that research applies directly to decisions in the vineyard and winery\," said Natalie Collins\, President of the California Association of Winegrape Growers and WCSETF co-chair.
